is there a switch on the fixture itself - even if hardwired?
There isn't a switch on the fixture itself, however once hardwired you can turn it on or off or even dim the lamp using a wall switch or dimmer

This lamp is hardwired into the wall, so if you have a dimmer switch installed then yes it can be dimmable
