The Best Luxurious Lofts
They are cool. They are industrial. They are incredibly stylish. We adore loft apartments! In fact we just want to uproot our lives and head to a big US city, such as New York or Chicago, where loft living seems to be at its most prevalent. We love looking through images of these amazing spaces and discussing how well people have managed to maintain some of the original features of the commercial space (be it warehouses, offices or manufacturing spaces), whilst making the place a comfortable yet quirky home. In fact we are so head over heels with beautiful lofts that we decided to share some of our favorites with you. Some are luxurious, some are edgy and some are simply homely. They may all be different in style, but they are all places where we would love to spend time!
Chicago
This amazing home, based in Chicago, used to be a pencil factory. From the exposed pipes to the heavily industrial-style windows, this is the perfect example of how a place once used for manufacturing goods, can become a sensational space to live. What we love about this interior is that each piece of furniture and accessory appears to have been carefully selected, in order to fit in with the overall aesthetic of the building. From the industrial style Navy Chair to the eye-catching ladder used to store magazines, these pieces really stand out! And of course a cool interior isn’t complete without pieces from Charles Eames, such as these white DAR chairs and the fabulous lounge chair.
Brooklyn
A Brooklyn loft with an eclectic twist, this home owner has painted the walls white and made the most of the open plan space. These pieces certainly don’t all match but instead combine to create a homely and lived-in style apartment. From the three-seater Chesterfield Sofa to the RAR Rocking Chair and side table produced from a wooden pallet, this interior is packed with different styles, making it fun and functional!
We love how the designer of this interior maintained industrial touches in their decorating. From the industrial style metal and wood stool to the cool green pendant lamps, the finishing touches make this a kitchen where we are desperate to cook!
California
Just because you live in a loft doesn’t mean that you can’t have sumptuous and luxurious furniture! This Californian loft takes our breath away. The pipes, painted white, easily become part of the aesthetic and match beautifully with the shaggy rug and contemporary dining suite. Wood, metal and tiles combine in this cool room resulting in a seriously stylish home. In short – we love it!
Williamsburg, NYC
Last but not least, is this Williamsburg apartment. This place seriously sets our hearts racing! More beautiful exposed red brick, stunning wooden ceilings, a spiral staircase and some of our favorite classic pieces of furniture, including designs from the fabulous Charles Eames, join together in this show-stopping loft. This is loft living at its best!
