The LC1 "Sling" chair, or basculant chair was designed by Le Corbusier in the 1920's. Originally based on a British officer's chair, all excess material was stripped away to reveal a simple, elemental chair elegantly constructed with a slender tubular steel frame and a leather hide.
This replica of the LC1 chair features an adjustable steel rod which permits the chair to tilt in accordance to the occupant's sitting position. This beautifully designed chair can make a bold statement piece for your home or office.
The LC10 Style Side Table is perfect as a stand alone or in collaboration with the other models in the LC Reproduction collection. It works with both mid-century modern and contemporary decors.

The Le Corbusier group referred to their LC2 and LC3 collections (1928) as "cushion baskets," which they designed as a modernist response to the traditional club chair. These pieces reverse the standard structures of sofas and chairs by having frames that are externalized. With thick, resilient pillows resting within the steel frames, the idea was to offer all the comfort of a padded surface while applying the elegant minimalism and industrial rationale of the International Style.
Le Corbusier intended to create a set of furniture for the small spaces in his "housing machines" that could be industrially produced in large quantities at moderate prices. Chrome plated tubular steel frame. Loose cushions filled with polyurethane foam and dacron wool. Custom colors and options, such as longer legs and/or extra cushioning, are available upon request.
Our reproduction model perfectly encapsulates his vision. This is a special order item and can take up to 8 weeks to deliver.
