The Noguchi table is a piece of modernist furniture first produced in the mid-20th century and has become one of the most distinguished pieces of furniture of the century. Introduced by Herman Miller in 1947, it was designed in the United States by artist and industrial designer Isamu Noguchi. Noguchi was a Japanese-American artist and landscape architect who’s been very successful in the arts since the early 20th century. His signature works grace Paris, Hiroshima, Jerusalem and places in the United States. Today, a museum dedicated solely to Isamu Noguchi’s works, called The Noguchi Museum is located in Queens, New York.
